How to Add a Bible Verse Widget to Your iPhone Home Screen
The Home Screen is the page you actually live on — the one you land on after every call, every notification, every time you close an app. It's mostly icons. It doesn't have to be only icons.
If you have Bible Clock installed, its verse widget can sit right there among them, small enough to fit in wherever you have room, updating on its own. Here's how, and a couple of ways to make it feel like it belongs.
1. Add the widget
- Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen until the icons start to jiggle, then tap the + in the top corner.
- Search for Bible Clock.
- Swipe through the sizes — small, medium, large — and pick the one that fits the gap you actually have.
2. Choose a size on purpose
The small widget holds just enough of the verse to catch your eye without asking for a read. The medium one has room for the full line and its reference — closer to something you'd actually finish reading. The large widget gives the verse its own block of the screen, which suits a Home Screen page that isn't crowded with apps.
There's no wrong size here. A verse you glance at in passing and a verse you stop to read are both doing their job.
3. Or let it rotate in a Smart Stack
If you don't want to give up a permanent spot, drop the Bible Clock widget into an existing Smart Stack.
